Green Team/Bauta International Scholarship/internship: This scholarship/internship is open to college students in Jamaica and elsewhere in the world who have an interest in promoting the mission of Green Team International while furthering their own education on the college level. Interns will get hands on experience in almost every aspect of the organization and will work on various programs (including some that are self-designed) for a period of one year on a part time and flexible basis.

Green Team/Bauta Scholarships: This scholarship is open to young people(age 12 and up) who are committed to improving their environments across Jamaica. We are particularly interested in young people who want to promote peace initiatives in Jamaica. To date, school children who attend Jack River Primary School located a short distance from the park have received scholarships for several years. Children in the 6th grade who demonstrate leadership qualities, strong academic performance and who contribute to the beautification of their school are given awards to attend high school. A school vegetable garden and a literacy garden have been the focus of their present and past efforts. Scholarships made available thanks to the generous support of the October Hill Foundation and the Bauta Family.

More About Tree Planting

Trees are currently being planted on St. Mary’s Peace Farm in Jamaica. Eventually, new locations will be identified for planting trees with partners in North America and Africa. Your contributions support the purchasing  of trees from local nurseries and the Forestry Department, employing local farmers for the planting and delivering certificates.  Because of the COVID public health crisis, part of your donation will also go to providing food for affected families in Jack’s River, Jamaica.
